We can’t decide exactly which style of Cedar to use to clad the walls. So we bought a bundle each of Shingles & Shakes and a few planks of Tounge and Groove boards. These were made up into sample panels about 1m square.

which are shakes and which are shingles?

Click on the picture above to see samples, The pictures have tags. Shakes are much thicker and are hand split from the log so have a textured surface.
