Started mixing concrete and pouring round the base of the tank but we were stoppped by the mixer breaking down. Took it apart and found the motor start capacitor has blown up.
Ordered a replacement so hopefully will restart the concreting tomorrow.
Dave the BCO came and approved the sewage processor in situ.
A quick review of our construction of the Leach Field. The video contains all 12 days of our work speeded up by over 300 times normal (one picture every 30 seconds). It only took 5 minutes!!
Enjoy!
Day 1 and Day 2 of the Installation of our Sewage Processor!
Finished off compacting the soil over the Leach field. The Sewage Processor’s location is calculated and first dig of hole!
Finished digging the hole. Ensure the bottom (over 8feet deep!) is solid ready for the tank. Lifted the huge glass fibre and resin constructed monster, over 2 metres (6.5 feet) wide and weighs 230kg (500lbs) into the hole!!
more tomorrow (fixing the tank with concrete and filling with gravel)
The work continues .. ..
Finished off the sand layer to required depth (700mm). Marked out the trench lines ready for the 40mm stones.

First load of the 40mm stones to the depth of 300mm.

Finished the stones.

Installed the leaky pipes and bed them in on the correct level (1 in 200) no more than 50mm lower from start to the farthest point!

Collect up the remaining stones. The building Control officer came (just a flicker of him at 11:30am!!!), he says “Looks good!” Delivery of 20tons of 10mm stones.

Put remaining 40mm stones over the pipes. Cover the whole area with a layer of the geotextile and weighted it down.

Started filling in everything!

Continued and finished filling in the hole.

Well That’s that!
